Linux Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, provision, configure, and manage cloud or infrastructure components following approved architectural patterns.

• Automate repetitive provisioning, deployment, configuration, and operational tasks.

• Implement security measures, identity management, networking solutions, backup systems, monitoring, and availability controls.

• Investigate incidents, address capacity challenges, identify vulnerabilities, and resolve performance issues.

• Maintain runbooks, diagrams, standards, and documentation of changes.

• Collaborate effectively across engineering and operations teams.

• Contribute to the development of reliable and maintainable solutions throughout the delivery lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience as specified in the job header.

• Required qualifications typically include at least 4 years in a related professional role; the specific threshold must align with the approved requisition.

• Proficiency in Linux administration.

• Experience with shell scripting.

• Familiarity with systemd.

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals.

• Experience with storage solutions.

• Skills in patching systems.

• Competence in monitoring processes.

• Expertise in hardening systems.

• Professional background in cloud engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or systems operations.

• Hands-on experience with specific cloud services, operating systems, container technologies, or automation tools.

• Understanding of the fundamentals of networking, identity, security, monitoring, and availability.

• Experience with scripting, automation, source control, or infrastructure as code.

• Ability to systematically troubleshoot infrastructure and production issues.

• Strong documentation skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
