Life Sciences Patent Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Engage with inventors to draft patent applications for submission to the USPTO.

• Manage the prosecution of patent applications before the USPTO, including conducting interviews with Examiners.

• Collaborate with clients and fellow attorneys at BoMc to enhance and refine claim strategies.

• Proactively oversee a docket of cases for clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.

• Prepare noninfringement and invalidity opinions.

• Carry out due diligence investigations.

• Execute freedom-to-operate and landscape analyses under the supervision of partners.

• Manage post-grant proceedings before the USPTO, including Inter Partes Reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a biotechnology practice.

• A Bachelor's or advanced degree in a life sciences technology field.

• 2-5 years of patent prosecution experience, specifically in biotechnology.

• A positive attitude towards client service.

• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and professional service skills, both written and verbal.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities, multitask, and work effectively in a team setting.

• A self-motivated individual dedicated to success and personal professional development.

• Eagerness to engage in all facets of an active law firm team.

• A cover letter is mandatory with the resume.

• Law school and undergraduate transcripts must be submitted with the application or upon request.
