Attorney (Banking and Capital Markets Law), all genders

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance and representation to clients on matters related to banking and capital markets law.

• Advocate for bank customers and retail investors in issues such as account fees, fee increases, recalculation of interest on savings contracts, early repayment penalties, online banking fraud, and negligent investment advice.

• Engage in negotiations with opposing parties and legal counsel.

• Prepare statements of claim, legal submissions, and contracts.

• Manage cases independently and represent clients both in and out of court.

• Collaborate closely with various internal teams.

• Share insights and feedback to enhance the product development process.

• Partner with product managers and the executive team to streamline legal processes through automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist) authorized to practice law in Germany, or with an application for admission already submitted.

• Minimum of one year of professional experience.

• Ideally, background in banking and capital markets law.

• Experience in representing consumers and investors in disputes with banks and financial service providers is advantageous.

• A pragmatic and solution-focused mindset.

• Interest in technology, data, and software aimed at enhancing legal processes.

• A meticulous, conscientious, and results-driven approach.

• An entrepreneurial spirit, a desire to learn, and a readiness to take on responsibilities.
