This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Translate clinical research, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance documents from English to Spanish LatAm.
• Conduct Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) on machine-generated safety content.
• Edit translated and post-edited materials for precision, tone, and uniformity.
• Adhere to strict, non-negotiable turnaround times for time-sensitive content.
• Operate within the client’s CAT tool environment (XTM/Phrase).
• Utilize Track Changes in Microsoft Word in accordance with project-specific instructions.
• Translate clinical research documents such as protocols, synopses, Investigator's Brochures (IB), Informed Consent Forms (ICF), patient sheets, and patient diaries.
• Translate regulatory documents including Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC), Patient Information Leaflets (PIL), labels, and Common Technical Document (CTD) modules.
• Translate pharmacovigilance documents, including Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSUR), Development Safety Update Reports (DSUR), Risk Management Plans (RMP), Serious Adverse Events (SAE), and Adverse Events (AE).
• Candidates must fulfill at least one of the following criteria: possess a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent); hold a recognized graduate qualification in another field with at least two years of full-time professional translation experience; or have a minimum of five years of full-time professional translation experience.
• A minimum of two years of practical translation experience specifically in life sciences, clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, and medical documentation.
• Proficiency with CAT tools, particularly XTM/Phrase.
• Familiarity with Track Changes in Microsoft Word.
• Must be a native speaker of ESMX (Mexican Spanish).
• Willingness to undergo an assessment during onboarding and adhere to quality procedures.
• An up-to-date English CV must accurately reflect experience in life sciences and medical translation, years of experience in life sciences, types of documents translated, CAT tools utilized, email, and phone number.
• Nice-to-have: a degree in Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Clinical Research, Translation, Linguistics, Philology, or a related field.
• Nice-to-have: experience working in-house at a Contract Research Organization (CRO) or pharmaceutical company.
• A license for CAT tools will be provided.
• Freelance-Remote work arrangement.
