Life Sciences Linguist, English to Chinese Simplified

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) for Periodic Benefit-Risk Evaluation Reports (PBRERs), regulatory documents, and associated pharmacovigilance materials, translating from English to Chinese Simplified.

• Adhere to a strict, non-extendable 24-hour turnaround time, including weekends.

• Operate within the client's CAT tool environment (XTM), following specific project setup instructions.

• Collaborate with fellow linguists when workload necessitates distribution across multiple resources, ensuring consistency and quality.

• Monitor and report daily output for Operations/Project Management planning purposes.

• Complete an unpaid Pharmacovigilance assessment as part of the onboarding and quality assurance process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies, or an equivalent qualification that includes substantial translation training.

• At least 2 years of professional experience in translating pharmacovigilance documents, including SAE/AE, PSURs, SUSARs, ICSRs, DSURs, or RMPs.

• Alternatively, a minimum of 2 years of experience in translating regulatory or clinical documents such as medical reports, protocols, synopses, ICF, discharge reports, study reports, SmPC, PIL, or medical literature.

• Ability to commit to a minimum of 5 hours daily, including weekends.

• Comfortable working within a pool of linguists.

• Familiarity with CAT tools is required; experience with XTM is an advantage.

• Dependable, deadline-oriented, and available on short notice.

• Must be based in the United States or consistently available during US business hours.

• Willingness to undertake an unpaid Pharmacovigilance assessment.

• Previous dedicated or embedded pharmacovigilance or safety-program experience is a plus.

• Specific experience in PBRER translation is also a plus.
