This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to adults dealing with substance use disorders and concurrent mental health issues, utilizing Motivational Interviewing, CBT for SUD, relapse prevention, and harm reduction techniques.
• Perform thorough substance use evaluations that assess symptom severity, readiness for change, recovery supports, co-occurring conditions, and safety concerns.
• Create individualized, ASAM-informed treatment plans that include level-of-care suggestions and referrals.
• Assist members throughout their recovery journey, encompassing active substance use, ambivalence, and potential relapse.
• Collaborate effectively with medication managers, Specialty Care Navigators, and Peer Recovery Specialists.
• Track member progress through measurement-based care and data-informed clinical decision-making.
• Offer mental health counseling, clinical risk evaluations, safety planning, and crisis intervention services.
• Complete necessary internal training and assignments, and participate in Clinical Team meetings.
• Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards.
• Review monthly projections, client metrics, and clinical outcomes to ensure quality of care.
• An unrestricted license to practice psychotherapy in Texas, California, or Pennsylvania; licensed supervision is not accepted.
• Over 2 years of post-licensure experience.
• Availability to work a complete 40-hour work week.
• Proficiency in technology and competency in virtual/telehealth settings.
• Ability and readiness to manage an average caseload of 30 sessions per week.
• Minimum of 2 years of psychotherapy experience with individuals facing substance use disorders, constituting a significant part of clinical practice.
• Training in evidence-based approaches for SUD, including Motivational Interviewing (MI/MET) and one or more of CBT for SUD, relapse prevention, or other evidence-based addiction treatments.
• Comfort in working with members at all stages of change, including those actively using substances, those utilizing harm reduction strategies, and those pursuing abstinence-based recovery.
• Capability to evaluate substance use severity, relapse risk, withdrawal risk, recovery support, and the need for higher levels of care.
• Knowledge of medications for substance use disorders, including MAUD/MOUD, and ability to collaborate with prescribing clinicians.
• Comfort in providing safety planning and interventions for clients at higher risk.
• Dedication to delivering high-quality clinical care and adhering to measurement-informed practices.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
