Licensed Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver evidence-informed family, individual, and group therapy for eating disorders and associated diagnoses in a virtual clinic/telehealth environment.

• Apply FBT, CBT-E, CBT-AR, and other evidence-supported treatments across various age groups.

• Manage a caseload of 30-40 patients, dedicating 20-26 hours to direct patient care while allocating the remaining time for administrative responsibilities.

• Evaluate and diagnose mental health disorders.

• Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, patient mentors, family mentors, and external providers.

• Utilize between-session messaging and engage with the treatment team via Equip’s EMR.

• Attend treatment team meetings, supervision sessions, departmental meetings, and ongoing training programs.

• Maintain licensure in your primary state and acquire additional state licenses as required.

• Execute other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in New York.

• Capability to assist patients of all ages, including those with co-occurring conditions, diverse backgrounds, and varying levels of acuity.

• Commitment to evidence-based care and treatment methodologies.

• Availability for direct patient care for 30 hours weekly.

• Willingness to commit to at least 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 PM in the relevant patient care time zone.

• Ability to work until 8 PM two evenings per week.

• Availability to participate in mandatory meetings, such as supervision, treatment huddles, labs, and all-hands meetings.

• Proficiency in delivering care safely and effectively within a virtual environment.

• Strong enthusiasm for mental health and eating disorder treatment.

• Experience in Family-Based Treatment and/or eating disorder treatment is preferred, but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment and/or intensive treatment settings is preferred, but not required.

• Experience supporting patients with suicidal ideation and trauma is preferred, but not required.

• Background in case management and/or multidisciplinary care teams is preferred, but not required.

• Required completion of a Master’s or Doctoral degree from a mental health counseling/therapy program accredited by CACREP, COAMFTE, CSWE, MPCAC, or an equivalent accrediting agency.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Must be equipped to provide care exclusively in a virtual/telehealth setting with dependable internet access and a private workspace.
