Licensed Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver evidence-based family, individual, and group therapy for eating disorders and associated diagnoses within a virtual clinic environment.

• Utilize FBT, CBT-E, CBT-AR, and other evidence-based therapeutic approaches across different age groups.

• Manage a caseload of 30-40 patients, dedicating 20-26 hours to direct care while allocating remaining time for administrative responsibilities.

• Engage in initial and ongoing training sessions.

• Evaluate and diagnose mental health disorders.

• Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, patient mentors, family mentors, and external providers.

• Employ between-session messaging and interact with the treatment team through Equip’s EMR system.

• Join treatment team meetings, supervision sessions, and departmental gatherings.

• Retain licensure in the home state and acquire additional state licenses as requested.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an active, unrestricted, and independent license to provide psychotherapy in California.

• Capability to support patients of all ages, with co-occurring conditions, diverse backgrounds, cultures, and varying levels of acuity.

• Commitment to evidence-based care and treatment.

• Availability to provide care two evenings per week until 8 PM in the primary patient time zone.

• Competence to deliver care safely and effectively in a virtual format.

• Willingness to maintain 30 hours per week of availability for direct patient care.

• Commitment to at least 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 PM in the patient care time zone.

• Attendance at mandatory meetings is required.

• Submission of graduate program and university details is necessary in the application.

• Completion of a Master’s or Doctoral degree from a recognized accredited mental health counseling/therapy program.

• Experience in Family-Based Treatment and/or eating disorder treatment is preferred but not mandatory.

• Background in evidence-based treatment and/or intensive treatment settings is preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience assisting patients with suicidal ideation and trauma is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with case management and/or multidisciplinary care teams is preferred but not mandatory.

• Access to reliable internet and a private workspace is essential.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

• Willingness to provide care exclusively in a virtual/telehealth setting.

• Comfort with recording patient sessions for quality assurance, therapeutic alliance, and training/supervision purposes.
