Licensed Professional Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide individual counseling to clients or patients as well as conduct family sessions

• Initiate internal referrals to Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) if there is minimal to no improvement after 8 weeks of outpatient therapy

• Assist clients in developing techniques or strategies to manage their challenges

• Create and execute treatment plans featuring SMART goals; these plans are to be developed within 72 hours post-intake and reviewed every 4 weeks

• Accurately complete and maintain all client documentation, including diagnostic records, progress notes, treatment records, and reports

• Ensure progress notes are finalized within 48 hours following each session

• Assess clients' physical or mental health status based on the information provided

• Work collaboratively with staff on clinical evaluations and treatment plans within 2 days of initiating care

• Refer patients, clients, or their families to community resources or specialists when needed

• Stay updated on counseling advancements through professional literature, educational courses, seminars, and connections with social service agencies

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited institution

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a counseling environment

• A valid Licensed Professional Counselor license or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker license in West Virginia is mandatory

• Preferred: Over 2 years of experience in healthcare, particularly in oncology

• Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in Telehealth settings

• A minimum client load of 18 hours per week is required
