Licensed Practical Nurse – Virtual Messaging Network

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct patient care, including IV therapy, under the supervision of a registered nurse.

• Guide and assist ancillary nursing staff with their assigned tasks.

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and other personnel.

• Employ the nursing process through data collection, planning, and assessment.

• Provide care that considers physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-related factors.

• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, family members, and colleagues.

• Adjust to the evolving needs of the unit or department.

• Commit to professional development, clinical knowledge enhancement, technical skills, training, and credential maintenance.

• Stay informed about relevant laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

• Report any known or suspected unethical behavior and concerns regarding patient, employee safety, privacy, or compliance.

• Carry out other related responsibilities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Valid licensed practical nursing (LPN) license in the state of practice.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.

• Capability to perform each essential duty competently.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Self-motivated with sound judgment.

• Effective interpersonal and delegation skills.

• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

• Must fulfill physical demands of heavy work, including the occasional exertion of 50 to 100 pounds of force.

• Ability to work in a patient care setting and accept occupational exposure risks to blood, body fluids, communicable diseases, hazardous medications, and hazardous waste.
