Licensed Practical Nurse

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver both routine and non-routine care and education to patients.

• Support the Physician and Charge Nurse as required.

• Ensure accurate documentation of all care provided in patient records.

• Triage patient calls and address requests within a 24-hour timeframe.

• Alert the Physician regarding urgent issues and test results.

• Execute clinic responsibilities efficiently to facilitate a seamless clinic operation.

• Prepare patients for examinations, tests, and procedures.

• Perform procedures and referrals as ordered by the physician.

• Arrange for testing and procedures at outside facilities.

• Collaborate with Authorization Specialists to guarantee procedures are pre-authorized for reimbursement.

• Adhere to safety protocols and universal precautions concerning blood and body fluids.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in work and clinical areas.

• Represent the organization positively and cultivate a patient-service-oriented, teamwork-driven atmosphere.

• Uphold and protect patient privacy.

• Receive daily task instructions from the physician’s RN or Nursing Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or an accredited nursing program.

• Hold a valid certification or a Louisiana LPN license.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in performing clinical tasks within a medical setting.

• Capability to provide both routine and non-routine patient care and education.

• Ability to triage patient calls and respond within a 24-hour period.

• Proficient in conducting physician-ordered procedures and referrals.

• Familiarity with safety guidelines and universal precautions for blood and body fluids.

• Competence in maintaining patient privacy.

• Ability to follow instructions from a physician’s RN or Nursing Manager.
