Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker – West Virginia

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide counseling to clients or patients either individually or in family sessions to help them overcome dependencies, adjust to life changes, or implement modifications.

• Make internal referrals to the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) if there is minimal to no improvement after 8 weeks of outpatient (OP) therapy.

• Assist clients in developing skills or strategies for addressing their challenges.

• Create and execute treatment plans informed by clinical expertise, setting SMART goals with patients.

• Formulate treatment plans within 72 hours post-intake and revise them every 4 weeks as needed.

• Complete and manage client-related documentation, including diagnostic records, progress notes, treatment records, and reports.

• Generate progress notes within 48 hours following each session.

• Assess clients' physical or mental health based on the information provided.

• Work collaboratively with staff on clinical evaluations and treatment plans within 2 days of initiating care.

• Refer patients, clients, or their family members to community resources or specialists when necessary.

• Stay updated on advancements in counseling through professional literature, training courses, seminars, and interactions with social service agencies.

• Accept referrals and maintain a client load of at least 18 hours weekly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited institution.

• Two years of professional experience in a counseling environment.

• A current and active Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker license in West Virginia is mandatory.

• Preferred: Over 2 years of experience in healthcare, specifically in oncology.

• Preferred: 1 year of experience in Telehealth settings.

• Minimum client load of 18 hours per week is expected.
