Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker – West Virginia

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Receive referrals and manage a client load of at least 18 hours per week.

• Provide counseling to clients or patients on an individual basis and/or in family sessions.

• Initiate internal referrals to Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) if there is minimal to no improvement after 8 weeks of outpatient therapy.

• Assist clients in developing skills or strategies to address their challenges.

• Create and execute treatment plans informed by clinical expertise and knowledge.

• Set SMART goals in collaboration with patients.

• Formulate treatment plans within 72 hours following intake, and review or adjust them every 4 weeks.

• Complete and maintain all client-related documentation, including diagnostic records and progress notes.

• Prepare progress notes within 48 hours following each session.

• Organize and keep required treatment records and reports up to date.

• Assess clients' physical or mental well-being based on the information provided by them.

• Work together with staff on clinical assessments and treatment plans within 2 days of initiating care.

• Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or specialists when necessary.

• Stay informed about new advancements in counseling through professional literature, courses, seminars, and interactions with social service agencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.

• A minimum of two years of professional-level experience in a counseling environment.

• A current and active Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker license in West Virginia is mandatory.

• Preferred: Over 2 years of experience in healthcare, particularly in oncology.

• Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in Telehealth settings.
