Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker – Fully Remote

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Accept referrals and manage a client load of no less than 18 hours each week.

• Provide individual counseling to clients or conduct family therapy sessions.

• Initiate internal referrals to the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) if there is little to no improvement after 8 weeks of outpatient therapy.

• Assist clients in creating skills or strategies to address their issues.

• Design and execute treatment plans informed by clinical expertise and knowledge.

• Set SMART goals in collaboration with patients.

• Create treatment plans within 72 hours following intake and revise them every 4 weeks as necessary.

• Complete and maintain all client-related documentation, which includes diagnostic records and progress notes.

• Generate progress notes within 48 hours post-session.

• Prepare and keep required treatment records and reports up to date.

• Assess clients' physical or mental health based on collected client data.

• Collaborate with team members on clinical evaluations and treatment strategies within 2 days of initiating care.

• Refer patients, clients, or their families to community resources or specialists when needed.

• Stay updated with developments in counseling through professional literature, courses, seminars, and networking with social service organizations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's Degree from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a counseling environment.

• A current and valid Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker license in West Virginia is mandatory.

• Preferred: Over 2 years of experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in oncology.

• Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in Telehealth settings.
