Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Accept referrals and manage a client caseload of at least 18 hours per week.

• Provide counseling to clients or patients either individually or during family sessions.

• Initiate internal referrals to Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) if there is minimal to no progress within 8 weeks of outpatient therapy.

• Assist clients in developing techniques or strategies for addressing their challenges.

• Create and execute treatment plans informed by clinical expertise and knowledge.

• Establish SMART objectives with patients.

• Formulate treatment plans within 72 hours following intake and revise them every 4 weeks as needed.

• Complete and maintain all client-related documentation, diagnostic records, and progress notes.

• Draft progress notes within 48 hours following each session.

• Prepare and keep up-to-date the necessary treatment records and reports.

• Assess clients' physical or mental status based on the information provided.

• Work collaboratively with staff on clinical evaluations and treatment plans within 2 days of initiating care.

• Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or specialists when required.

• Stay updated on developments in counseling through professional literature, training courses, seminars, and networking with social service agencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited institution.

• Two years of professional experience in a counseling environment.

• A current and active Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker license in West Virginia is mandatory.

• Cross-licensure in Texas is required for this position prior to commencement.

• Preferred: Over 2 years of experience in the healthcare sector, specifically in oncology.

• Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in Telehealth settings.
