Licensed Clinical Therapist – Afternoons/Evenings

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions within the Intensive Outpatient Program for patients dealing with substance use disorders, both in-person and through telehealth.

• Perform thorough biopsychosocial assessments and create treatment and discharge plans that adhere to IOP standards and evidence-based practices.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

• Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers, Medical Assistants, Peer Recovery Specialists, and other clinic team members to develop patient care plans.

• Assist patients in crisis intervention situations and coordinate higher levels of care when necessary.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.

• Enhance access to care for underserved and marginalized populations.

• Cultivate trust and strong relationships with patients and community members.

• Educate patients and their families about substance use disorders, co-occurring conditions, and available recovery resources.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing education.

⛳️ Requirements

• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent licensure (LCSW, LMFT, etc.) in Ohio.

• At least 2 years of experience in providing therapy to individuals with substance use disorders.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in delivering therapy in an IOP, PHP, or similar treatment environment.

• Strong understanding of substance use disorder diagnoses, medications, and treatment strategies.

• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with a diverse range of staff, patients, and community members.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible mindset, and a dedication to ongoing learning and professional growth.

• Capability to sit, stand, and walk for extended durations during patient sessions and team meetings.

• Regular use of hands for typing, writing, and managing clinical documentation.

• Occasional lifting and carrying of materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to respond swiftly to emergencies, including assisting patients in distress or crisis situations.

• Visual and auditory acuity necessary to assess patient needs, read documentation, and communicate effectively.

• Capability to navigate clinic environments.
