Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.

📋 Description

• Effectively and efficiently treat and manage patients experiencing emotional and/or health issues.

• When necessary, conduct dual interviews alongside team members.

• Oversee Behavioral Health Fellows through weekly individual and group supervision regarding their ongoing clinical cases.

• Review the clinical documentation of fellows, make necessary corrections, and authorize all cases.

• Collaborate with the Ho’ōla U-Telehealth Behavioral Health team under the guidance of the Assistant Program Manager.

• Play a role in providing integrated behavioral health care for Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander patients.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited institution recognized in the field, with experience in Social and/or Health Sciences.

• Must be licensed and eligible for insurance billing in the State of Hawaiʻi.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Proven ability to effectively interact with faculty, staff, and patients.

• Demonstrated capability to supervise and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

• Strong leadership and managerial abilities are required.

• Knowledge of integrated behavioral health principles is essential.

• Proficient in motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy interventions to facilitate health behavior change.

• Professional background in implementing programs and/or conducting research within the Health Sciences field.

• Experience in working with Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander patients is preferred.

• A fundamental understanding of Hawaiian history, culture, and language in relation to student learning, engagement, intergenerational trauma, and resilience pathways.

• Experience in providing culturally responsive assessments and treatment strategies.

• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.

• Capacity to establish positive public relations and effectively interact with a diverse range of professionals and patients.

• Ability to manage a large and diverse caseload.

• Capability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

• Preferred: At least five (5) years of experience in a healthcare or community mental health setting.
