Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician, Addiction Medicine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional clinical care directly to individuals facing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues.

• Perform thorough psychological assessments and provide accurate diagnoses.

• Facilitate evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions.

• Create and execute personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient recovery efforts.

• Maintain clinical documentation and service delivery through telehealth and digital health platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be residents of Hawaii.

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), or a Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or a similar field from an accredited institution, or a Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program.

• Valid and unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Hawaii, or a current, unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in Hawaii, or a current, unrestricted Licensed Psychologist license in Hawaii.

• Completion of an APA-accredited internship for those on the psychologist pathway.

• A minimum of 2-5 years of post-licensure clinical experience in psychological assessment and psychotherapy for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

• Prior experience in psychological assessment and testing relevant to addiction and mental health populations is highly preferred.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches pertinent to addiction treatment, including CBT, DBT, MI, trauma-focused therapies, and ACT.

• Strong diagnostic and differential diagnostic capabilities for mental health and substance use disorders, utilizing DSM-5-TR.

• Competence in using electronic health records (EHR) systems, secure telehealth platforms, video conferencing software, and other digital health resources.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication, clinical documentation, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.

• A dedication to patient-centered care, cultural humility, and the reduction of health disparities.

• Strong critical thinking abilities for complex case conceptualization and treatment planning.

• Clear, respectful communication and expert consultation with team members.

• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, patient confidentiality, and the ethical principles and code of conduct established by the APA.
