This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Educate consumers about health insurance options available through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace.
• Evaluate the coverage needs of individuals and families, providing explanations of the various plan options.
• Clarify details regarding premiums, deductibles, copays, provider networks, prescription coverage, and other plan features.
• Assist consumers with the application and enrollment process for the ACA Marketplace.
• Deliver professional and consultative customer service.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of customer information, application details, and enrollment documentation within company systems.
• Conduct follow-ups with both prospective and enrolled consumers.
• Achieve sales, conversion, quality, productivity, attendance, and customer experience targets.
• Adhere to compliance standards set by CMS, the Marketplace, carriers, licensing, and company policies.
• Keep up with necessary insurance licenses, certifications, carrier appointments, and Marketplace credentials.
• Engage in training, coaching, performance development, and team meetings.
• Navigate various computer systems and applications while assisting customers.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• An active Health or Health/Life Insurance License in good standing.
• An active National Producer Number (NPN).
• Newly licensed insurance agents are encouraged to apply; previous ACA sales experience is not mandatory.
• Prior experience in ACA, health insurance, telesales, call center, or customer service is preferred.
• Capability to complete and maintain all necessary ACA Marketplace/FFM registration and training before conducting Marketplace enrollments.
• Ability to fulfill relevant carrier contracting and appointment requirements.
• Excellent verbal communication, listening, and customer service abilities.
• Comfort in a goal-oriented and performance-driven sales setting.
• Coachable, dependable, professional, and eager to grow within the insurance industry.
• Strong skills in computer navigation with the capacity to learn and operate within multiple systems.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a remote team environment.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a professional remote workspace.
• Capability to maintain necessary licensing, certifications, and continuing education requirements.
• Willingness to work additional hours, evenings, or weekends as business needs arise, especially during peak Open Enrollment periods.
