Licensed ACA Health Insurance Agent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Inform consumers about health insurance options available through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace.

• Evaluate the coverage needs of individuals and families and clarify the plan options that are available.

• Describe premiums, deductibles, copays, provider networks, prescription coverage, and other features of the plans.

• Assist consumers in navigating the ACA Marketplace application and enrollment process.

• Deliver professional and consultative customer service.

• Keep accurate records of customer information, application details, and enrollment documentation.

• Follow up with both prospective and enrolled consumers.

• Achieve sales, conversion, quality, productivity, attendance, and customer experience goals.

• Ensure compliance with CMS, Marketplace, carrier, licensing, and company standards.

• Maintain necessary insurance licenses, certifications, carrier appointments, and Marketplace credentials.

• Engage in ongoing training, coaching, performance development, and team meetings.

• Navigate various computer systems and applications while assisting customers.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active Health or Health/Life Insurance License in good standing.

• Must have an active National Producer Number (NPN).

• Previous ACA sales experience is not mandatory.

• Prior experience in ACA, health insurance, telesales, call center, or customer service is preferred.

• Capability to complete and maintain all necessary ACA Marketplace/FFM registration and training before conducting Marketplace enrollments.

• Ability to meet applicable carrier contracting and appointment requirements.

• Strong verbal communication, listening, and customer service abilities.

• Comfortable working in a sales environment that is goal-oriented and driven by performance.

• Must be coachable, reliable, professional, and eager to grow within the insurance industry.

• Proficient computer navigation skills with the ability to learn and operate multiple systems.

• Capability to work independently while also contributing to a remote team setting.

• Access to a reliable high-speed internet connection and a professional remote workspace.

• Ability to meet the required licensing, certifications, and continuing education obligations.

• Willingness to work additional hours, evenings, or weekends as needed, especially during peak Open Enrollment periods.
