Health Insurance Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct scheduled phone or virtual consultations regarding health insurance.

• Assess members’ healthcare needs, financial situation, eligibility, and available plan choices.

• Clearly articulate coverage details, benefits, premiums, and limitations.

• Assist members in making informed choices and facilitate enrollment when necessary.

• Accurately document each advisory session.

• Perform required follow-ups after advisements.

• Attend scheduled appointments punctually.

• Maintain professional communication with members and partner teams.

• Adhere to relevant carrier, state, federal, privacy, and compliance regulations.

• Complete mandatory training and product updates.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an active Health Insurance Producer License.

• Hold active licenses in at least 5 states.

• Previous experience in health insurance, including consultations with consumers via phone or virtually.

• Strong understanding of health insurance terminology and enrollment procedures.

• Ability to clearly and compliantly explain coverage options.

• Reliability regarding scheduled appointments.

• Capability to work independently and remotely.

• Access to a reliable computer, high-speed internet, and a quiet, professional workspace.

• Must be able to work as a 1099 independent contractor.

• Compliance with carrier, state, federal, privacy, and compliance standards is required.

• Candidates with 10–12+ active state licenses will be given priority.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

• Experience with Individual & Family Plans, ACA/Marketplace, Medicare, private insurance, or short-term medical is favored.

• Previous experience in remote insurance or telesales is preferred.
