This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Provide support for administrative and public relations functions for State Representative Linda Chaney.
• Oversee calendars and scheduling activities.
• Manage relationships with constituents.
• Perform legislative research.
• Utilize knowledge of the legislative process effectively.
• Create public relations materials and press releases.
• Handle stakeholder engagement.
• Act as designated staff in Tallahassee during Committee Weeks and Session.
• Utilize the Travel System for related activities.
• Complete all mandatory training as assigned.
• Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of two years of administrative experience.
• Professional administrative experience may be substituted for the required college education on a year-for-year basis.
• Comprehensive understanding of the policies, procedures, and operational practices of the Florida Legislature.
• Familiarity with House Rules, Protocol, House-specific Applications, House Administrative Policies, and the Legislature’s Joint Policies and Procedures.
• Must electronically file a Form 1 – Statement of Financial Interests with the Florida Commission on Ethics within 30 days of hire.
• All virtual district employees are required to reside and work virtually in Florida.
