Legal Subject Matter Expert, United Kingdom

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Offer legal expertise in the areas of UK commercial, regulatory, tribunal, and administrative law.

• Evaluate commercial contracts, disputes, obligations, remedies, and risk provisions.

• Conduct research on UK statutes, regulations, case law, tribunal rulings, and regulatory guidance.

• Review cases related to financial services regulation and the corresponding regulatory authorities.

• Annotate and validate legal datasets along with AI-generated legal outputs.

• Confirm legal citations and statutory references for accuracy.

• Draft and assess legal memoranda, contract provisions, summaries, and legal reasoning tasks.

• Detect AI hallucinations, unsupported conclusions, or jurisdictionally incorrect responses.

• Assist in prompt engineering and the legal evaluation frameworks for AI systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solicitor, Barrister, JD/LL.M. equivalent graduate, Senior Legal Researcher, or seasoned Paralegal.

• At least 3+ years of pertinent legal experience in the UK.

• Background in commercial contracts, financial regulation, administrative law, or tribunal proceedings.

• Strong understanding of UK legal research methodologies.

• Excellent skills in legal reasoning, statutory analysis, citation verification, and drafting.

• Proficient written English skills.

• Familiarity with Westlaw UK, LexisNexis, Practical Law, or similar platforms is preferred.

• Knowledge of Generative AI and prompt engineering is an added advantage.
