Legal Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with attorneys and cross-functional stakeholders to convert legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements into effective business processes and operational workflows.

• Lead and manage initiatives for the legal team across Product, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and various other business functions.

• Streamline and sustain internal processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, visibility, and collaboration.

• Create, update, and maintain internal guidelines, process documentation, and resources.

• Evaluate customer-facing experiences, such as product features, partnerships, lifecycle communications, and other initiatives, to pinpoint risks prior to launch.

• Aid in the development of operational controls and monitoring processes for customer experiences and evolving legal and business requirements.

• Discover opportunities to utilize AI and automated tools to simplify legal workflows and minimize manual tasks.

• Generate innovative solutions with internal teams that align with business objectives and foster growth while mitigating legal and regulatory risks.

• Assist with legal research and special projects associated with financial products, consumer protection, privacy, marketing, and emerging legal initiatives.

• Provide support for contract administration and other legal operations initiatives as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in legal operations, project management, compliance, business operations, or a related cross-functional role.

• Proven experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders while juggling competing priorities and deadlines.

• Proficient in interpreting complex legal, regulatory, or operational concepts and effectively communicating them to both legal and business teams.

• Systems-oriented mindset focused on process enhancement, elimination of inefficiencies, and creation of scalable solutions.

• Enthusiasm for exploring AI, automation, and internal tools.

• Background in fintech, financial services, or another highly regulated sector.

• Knowledge of consumer protection, advertising, privacy, or financial services regulations is advantageous.

• Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Airtable, Notion, or similar platforms.
