Legal Operations Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Legal Counsel and collaborate with the entire legal team.

• Utilize AI and low-code solutions to transition manual legal tasks into automated workflows.

• Perform legal research, contract evaluations, and engage in various substantial legal projects.

• Ensure that Jerry’s corporate entities are maintained in good standing throughout the US and Canada.

• Manage the complete process of annual reports and state requests.

• Oversee intellectual property, detect infringements, and initiate cease-and-desist procedures.

• Investigate intricate consumer escalations, propose solutions, and create compliance training programs.

• Assess products and processes for compliance risks and user friction.

• Work in partnership with Engineering and Product teams to address underlying compliance challenges.

• Lead compliance audits and keep an eye on high-risk areas between audit periods.

• Monitor open issues, deadlines, obstacles, and cross-functional projects until completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree from a highly regarded academic program, showcasing a history of exceptional performance.

• Proven experience in managing projects from inception to conclusion and independently resolving issues.

• A demonstrated passion for leveraging AI and technology to enhance work processes.

• Proficiency in using AI and low-code tools to automate legal functions.

• Capability to oversee entity compliance across the US and Canada.

• Experience in managing regulatory filings, deadlines, audits, legal research, contract evaluations, intellectual property oversight, consumer escalations, and product compliance assessments.

• Must currently reside in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada for full-time salaried employment.

• Must be eligible to work in the US or Canada; visa sponsorship may be required or considered depending on circumstances.
