This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Advance your professional development by collaborating with in-house counsel.
• Acquire hands-on experience as in-house counsel at a prominent video content distribution firm.
• Engage in drafting content distribution agreements.
• Participate in depositions and hearings.
• Perform legal research.
• Compose legal memoranda.
• Potentially work within various practice areas including Content and Programming, Intellectual Property, Litigation, Regulatory, Product, and Labor and Employment.
• Must be at least a first-year student enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school.
• Must maintain good academic standing.
• Demonstrated strong professional judgment.
• Exhibits a strong work ethic.
• Displays a keen interest in the entertainment industry.
• Submission of a cover letter expressing interest in the entertainment sector, limited to 1 page.
• Provide a brief personal statement that highlights experiences, perspectives, or values that would contribute to the legal team or profession, also limited to 1 page.
• Current resume required.
• Academic transcript must be submitted.
• Must possess full U.S. work authorization, both currently and in the future.
• Paid 10-week internship.
• Primarily remote work structure.
• Potential travel opportunities to Los Angeles.
• In-office work options may also be available.
• Opportunities to collaborate with in-house counsel.
• Engage in tasks related to content distribution agreements, depositions, hearings, legal research, and memorandum drafting across various practice areas.
