This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Work closely with Marvel’s in-house legal team on matters related to entertainment, corporate law, and intellectual property.
• Assist in the preparation of talent agreements for feature films, streaming content, and animated projects.
• Draft both above-the-line and below-the-line contracts for feature films, streaming series, and animated works.
• Evaluate intellectual property rights, issues, and clearance matters pertaining to Marvel assets.
• Report directly to the Lead Counsel.
• Previous internship experience with a film or entertainment company or a law firm.
• Strong analytical abilities to handle and follow through on various projects in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent research capabilities and resourcefulness.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work autonomously.
• High level of discretion in managing sensitive or confidential information.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited law school, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) leading up to the internship program.
• Completion of one or more years in a current JD program at the beginning of the internship.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization.
• Ability to maintain a consistent and reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
• Fully available Monday through Friday, from 9am to 6pm PST, for 20 hours per week.
• Must have a dependable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
