Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Draft, review, negotiate, and provide counsel on customized and standard contracts for commercial dealings, which include master services agreements, statements of work, vendor contracts, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).

• Oversee state entity filings, annual reports, and registered agent responsibilities for entities in the US.

• Assist with corporate governance tasks.

• Collaborate with the data privacy team on issues related to privacy and data protection, encompassing US state privacy laws, GDPR compliance, and data processing agreements.

• Deliver daily legal assistance to teams in sales, engineering, operations, product development, IT, marketing, human resources, finance, and client relationship management.

• Develop and uphold contract templates, playbooks, and procedural frameworks.

• Engage with customers, suppliers, insurers, and external advisors both nationally and internationally.

• Work in conjunction with the broader global legal team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school in the United States.

• Active license in good standing to practice law in at least one US state.

• Capability to fulfill any in-house counsel registration requirements in the state of residence.

• 1–3 years of in-house legal experience, preferably within a technology, software, or SaaS organization.

• Strong background in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, specifically technology, software, and SaaS agreements.

• Experience supporting sales teams in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across various functions.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capacity to assess legal risks in relation to business objectives and offer practical, commercially oriented advice.

• High attention to detail.

• Preferred: knowledge in intellectual property, privacy and data protection, information security terms, or employment law.

• Preferred: international experience.
