Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Review, negotiate, and execute sales contracts, purchase orders, and their modifications.

• Foster strong collaborative relationships with Sales and Consulting teams during client sales contract discussions.

• Collaborate with the Public Sector team to establish contract vehicles across North America and internationally.

• Provide guidance on public sector contracting, legal issues, risks, approval processes, policies, and procedures.

• Draft and negotiate master agreements, statements of work, project-specific addenda, non-disclosure agreements, and customer-specific contracts.

• Oversee contract negotiation processes involving internal teams, stakeholders, and external clients.

• Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with legislation and policies.

• Offer advice on employment, immigration, marketing, property, insurance, privacy, data security, and litigation matters.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

• Admission to a Canadian provincial bar and in good standing to practice law in Canada.

• 2–4 years of experience post-call in a law firm or an in-house corporate legal department.

• Practical experience in drafting and negotiating a diverse range of contracts.

• Familiarity with global privacy and data security requirements is an advantage.

• Capability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.

• Strong analytical abilities, sound judgment, business insight, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.
