Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Function as a strategic collaborator throughout the entire product development cycle, from initial concept through to launch and beyond.

• Recognize legal and regulatory challenges and devise practical solutions that balance business goals with risk management.

• Convert intricate legal risks into straightforward, business-focused advice.

• Formulate and execute a compliance strategy for emerging technologies, such as AI, big data, and online advertising.

• Ensure adherence to regulations including the DSA and DMA.

• Provide guidance on global data protection legislation, encompassing GDPR and CCPA, while advocating for privacy-by-design principles.

• Enhance legal processes and documentation across the EU, UK, US, and SEA regions.

• Manage legal areas including brand protection, consumer dispute resolution, and advertising standards.

• Lead cross-functional legal and compliance projects and secure stakeholder support.

• Collaborate with external attorneys on intricate legal inquiries and business prospects.

• Act as the primary legal contact for all business divisions and work closely with Product, Commerce, and Marketing teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Law.

• Over 5 years of experience at a prestigious law firm or in-house.

• Strong preference for experience in dynamic tech, e-commerce, media, gaming sectors, or related fields.

• In-depth expertise in tech law, including intellectual property, data protection, consumer protection, and platform regulation.

• Proven ability to break down complex, ambiguous challenges into actionable outcomes.

• Comfortable making swift, business-focused decisions with incomplete information.

• Proficient in understanding the core of a problem.

• Capable of translating legal risks into practical business recommendations.

• Skilled in building strong relationships and navigating diverse stakeholder groups.

• Outstanding time management, task ownership, and prioritization skills.
