This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Construct and uphold rule sets by thoroughly researching and analyzing relevant state, federal, and agency statutes, regulations, local rules, and standing orders.
• Convert legal requirements into organized triggers, deadlines, and calculation logic for calendaring software.
• Keep track of amendments and other legal changes, assess their effects on existing content, implement adjustments to rule sets, and prepare update notes.
• Offer customer support via email, Zoom, and various other communication platforms.
• Investigate questions related to rules and calculation outcomes, clarify calendaring logic, and escalate intricate issues when necessary.
• Provide training for customers and partners on litigation calendaring procedures and legal content, including train-the-trainer initiatives.
• Perform audits and peer reviews of rule sets for legal accuracy, consistency, completeness, and adherence to content standards.
• Create and present written materials, including newsletter articles and presentations.
• Engage in customer training sessions, conferences, and webinars.
• Apply sound legal judgment in situations involving ambiguous, conflicting, or interconnected procedural authorities.
• Make daily decisions concerning rule set organization, triggers, deadlines, and calculation logic.
• Research and address routine customer inquiries, escalating unique, high-risk, or complex matters as needed.
• Identify gaps in content, conflicts, and potential calculation risks, offering recommendations for resolution.
• Operate with a moderate level of autonomy while seeking guidance on high-impact, complex, or novel analyses.
• Must be licensed to practice law in the United States.
• A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.
• Proficient in locating and calculating legal deadlines.
• Familiar with the U.S. legal system.
• Strong legal research and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to assess state and federal statutes, procedural rules, local regulations, agency rules, and standing orders.
• Capable of translating intricate legal requirements into clear, standardized, structured content suitable for automated litigation calendaring.
• Skilled in drafting accurate triggers, deadlines, and calculation logic, including service methods, time-computation rules, court holidays, and related procedural necessities.
• Experienced in monitoring rule changes across jurisdictions, evaluating their impact on existing content, and executing precise and timely revisions.
• Excellent writing and editing abilities.
• Remarkable attention to detail.
• Comfortable and adept with AI and emerging technologies.
• Ability to independently assess AI outputs and apply legal judgment to ensure accuracy and quality.
