This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Act as the main contact for legal, regulatory, and risk-related issues.
• Provide guidance on data protection, trademark regulations, advertising laws, and contract creation.
• Oversee external law firms and manage ongoing legal cases and proceedings.
• Assist the Product Safety team as a collaborative partner and reliable advisor.
• Create an internal case archive for organized documentation and tracking of legal issues.
• Proactively follow up on pending legal matters.
• Establish and uphold compliance standards in areas such as product safety, procurement, IT, data protection, and advertising.
• Monitor compliance risks and trends, and formulate recommendations for risk management.
• Aid in contract evaluations, including NDAs, supplier agreements, and agency contracts.
• Collaborate with Finance and Procurement to streamline the contract process.
• Monitor legal KPIs like case expenses, liability risks, and recurrence risks.
• Create preventative strategies to reduce risks.
• Develop and enhance the Legal function systematically.
• Create processes, templates, and policies while establishing internal standards.
• Report directly to the CEO and closely collaborate with Product, Marketing, Procurement, Finance, and IT.
• A completed degree in business law, law, or compliance management; an LL.M. or similar qualification, or vocational training is also welcomed.
• Ideally, possess 2–5 years of experience in a Legal or Compliance position.
• Experience in a legal practice setting, such as a paralegal or law firm assistant.
• Career changers with significant practical experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
• Extensive practical knowledge of legal issues, especially in contract law, data protection, and advertising law.
• Proficient in written and spoken German.
• Strong English skills are a plus.
• An independent, proactive, solution-focused, and organized work approach.
• Ability to articulate complex issues clearly and practically.
• Strong initiative with the capability to identify risks early on.
• Experience in managing cross-functional projects.
• Permanent residency in Germany is required.
• 100% remote work within Germany.
