Legal & Compliance Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Monitor and investigate emerging legal and regulatory changes within the fintech industry, focusing on consumer protection, payments, and financial services regulations.

• Summarize research outcomes for the legal and compliance team.

• Organize, maintain, and archive the company’s policies and procedures.

• Ensure that documents are up-to-date, easily accessible, and accurately version-controlled.

• Compile and analyze data to generate reports that highlight legal or compliance trends.

• Test internal systems and workflows to confirm compliance controls.

• Document and report any compliance issues or deficiencies.

• Review marketing and advertising materials to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Customer Support, and other teams on compliance initiatives.

• Assist with additional legal and compliance responsibilities and special projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Legal Studies, Political Science, Business, Finance, or a related discipline (J.D. candidates are welcome).

• Strong research and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to independently manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Interest in fintech, financial regulation, or consumer protection law is advantageous.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; familiarity with document management systems is a plus.

• Previous internship or coursework experience in compliance, legal research, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
