This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Design and evaluate curricula and qualifications.
• Create and assess educational content and materials.
• Manage educational resources and subject information on Milpark’s learning management systems.
• Teach and evaluate assigned programs and subjects in Risk and Insurance.
• Apply assessment policies and procedures in accordance with HEQC standards.
• Draft, moderate, approve, and oversee assessments, grades, and discrepancies.
• Contribute to the development of academic policies.
• Gather industry insights to enhance teaching relevance and materials.
• Assist students with content-related inquiries and provide additional academic support.
• Participate in academic committees.
• Develop policies for admissions, exemptions, and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
• Monitor program quality, curriculum delivery, admissions, selection, and student support.
• Prepare submissions for SAQA registration and HEQC accreditation.
• Track student progression and manage students at risk of failing.
• Recruit, onboard, develop, and evaluate academic staff performance.
• Produce publications that align with departmental goals.
• Enhance student motivation and provide academic representation and consulting services.
• Maintain student records and manage academic inquiries, disputes, and articulation.
• Engage in HEQC/DoE investigations.
• Assist with special projects and offer consulting services in areas of expertise.
• Cultivate professional relationships and pursue ongoing professional development.
• A postgraduate degree relevant to the financial services sector, ideally in Risk Management and/or Insurance.
• At least 3 years of experience in the financial services industry.
• A minimum of 3 years in an academic setting.
• Preference will be given to candidates holding a master's degree.
• Preference will also be given to individuals with FIISA or CRM Professional designations.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to manage time effectively and adhere to strict deadlines in a dynamic environment.
