Learning Innovation Manager – Program Impact

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, assessment, and ongoing enhancement of learning and program experiences.

• Collaborate with Education and Program Development to design, improve, and assess curriculum and instructional resources.

• Implement instructional design best practices, incorporating backward design, adult learning theory, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

• Lead pilot testing of new curricula or program models and make adjustments based on feedback.

• Create and uphold style guides, templates, and quality standards for instructional materials.

• Collaborate with Workforce Development to create training courses and materials aimed at supporting job readiness and employment results.

• Manage, configure, and optimize the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS), including course shells, enrollment, gradebook setup, and reporting.

• Oversee the web-based conferencing platform for live instruction, providing setup, facilitator support, and troubleshooting.

• Assess and pilot new educational technology and AI-enabled learning tools.

• Act as a liaison with Canvas and conferencing vendors, as well as internal IT for integrations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

• Train and assist program staff and facilitators in utilizing Canvas and the conferencing platform.

• Create frameworks for evaluating program impact, learner outcomes, and engagement levels.

• Develop dashboards and reporting tools utilizing program and Canvas data.

• Conduct regular data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

• Align impact metrics with organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting requirements for funders and stakeholders.

• Provide advice to the Sr. Director of Business Operations on learning innovations and data-driven organizational strategies.

• Advocate for learning and impact priorities during cross-departmental planning and budgeting processes.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in instructional design methodologies and curriculum development.

• Practical experience managing the Canvas LMS or a similar learning management system.

• Familiarity with web-based conferencing tools such as Zoom, Teams, or WebEx.

• Strong data analytics capabilities, including the ability to build reports and dashboards and convert data into actionable insights.

• Strategic and analytical thinking abilities.

• Robust project management skills with the capacity to handle multiple priorities at once.

• Innovative mindset focused on testing, learning, and iterative improvement.

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate across different functions.

• Knowledge of AI-enabled learning tools and emerging educational technology trends.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in program development, instructional design, learning innovation, or a related field.

• Experience with SQL, Excel, and Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI is preferred.

• Familiarity with survey or assessment platforms is preferred.

• Experience working within a nonprofit, educational, or mission-driven program environment is preferred.
