This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Assist in the execution of a course development roadmap and content strategy for AAAS’s learning and development portfolio.
• Support the complete development cycle of courses, events, and other educational offerings.
• Research, create, and sustain content that adheres to adult learning principles and relevant studies.
• Implement marketing, communication, and engagement strategies to boost user participation in the AAAS Learning Hub.
• Conduct in-person and virtual live as well as pre-recorded training sessions.
• Offer technical and administrative assistance for the setup and maintenance of courses within the Learning Hub.
• Collaborate with IT and internal stakeholders to implement software and technology solutions for the AAAS Learning Hub.
• Consult on and co-create Learning Hub content tailored for specific constituent groups.
• Create and oversee a content calendar and educational outreach initiatives for members.
• Discover new outreach and marketing channels.
• Aid in learning and engagement events, webinars, and activities related to the AAAS Annual Meeting.
• Support learning and engagement initiatives that align with the Institutional Membership/Partnership business model.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the Member Learning and Development strategy, as well as the AAAS Learning Hub platform’s impact on business, user experience, and content quality.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Learning Design and Technology or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years of professional experience in supporting a learning and development program.
• Experience in instructional design, including knowledge of adult learning principles and design models (e.g., ADDIE).
• Proficient in end-to-end course development utilizing Articulate, RISE, SCORM files, Path LMS, or other similar learning development tools and platforms.
• Facilitation experience with a keen interest in conducting small and large-scale training sessions for diverse audiences in both virtual and in-person environments.
• Experience with STEMM audiences is preferred.
• Familiarity with the adult education market, along with marketing and communication best practices.
• A collaborative team player with a customer service orientation and strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
