Lead Transmission Line Engineer, Grid

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design transmission lines ranging from 69kV to 765kV.

• Provide mentorship and training to junior members of the design team.

• Coordinate design efforts to guarantee that installations and operations align with specifications, codes, and client expectations.

• Prepare reports and studies that convey technical information clearly and concisely, adhering to client specifications and S&L formatting standards.

• Conduct independent reviews of work completed by others, including calculations, drawing preparations, and transmission line models utilizing PLS-CADD.

• Comply with Sargent & Lundy's established System of Processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in transmission design.

• Proficiency in PLS-CADD software.

• Experience must encompass the preparation of scopes of work, development of conceptual designs, determination of design basis, selection of equipment and materials, and assembling calculations and specifications.

• Direct client interaction experience regarding transmission lines from 69kV to 500kV.

• Familiarity with engineering standards such as NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE, and ANSI.

• Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others.
