Lead Technology Consultant, Data Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete technical solution and architecture.

• Participate in daily stand-ups and critically evaluate technical decisions when necessary.

• Establish and uphold engineering standards, encompassing the release process and platform security.

• Identify risks early, remove obstacles, and manage competing priorities effectively.

• Serve as the primary technical contact for the client, setting clear expectations and instilling confidence that the project is well-managed.

• Ensure that solutions are designed for long-term maintenance and support through managed services.

• Provide clear and concise reporting, both internally and to the client.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead, Lead Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Lead Consultant on data or cloud platform initiatives.

• Strong understanding of modern cloud data platforms, including Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Experience in regulated environments where security and governance are crucial.

• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical and commercial stakeholders.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic consultancy or start-up environment where priorities may shift.

• Experience with Databricks.

• Background in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services.
