Data Engineer – Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business teams to design and implement moderately complex data-driven systems and solutions that add value.

• Develop analytics solutions focused on quality, business process functionality, and strategic/data/analytic initiatives.

• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and define analytics requirements.

• Create comprehensive documentation and business plans that address the needs of stakeholders.

• Act as a liaison between IT and Product Management regarding data solutions.

• Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to identify challenges and formulate resolutions.

• Develop and execute enterprise-wide data integration strategies utilizing data marts and data warehouse applications.

• Enhance data platforms, dashboards, and reports to adapt to evolving business demands and guidelines.

• Provide consultation on UAT, technical specifications, strategic planning, contract design, technical support, testing updates, and training.

• Apply data standards to reconcile regulatory and compliance requirements with business needs.

• Oversee data from multiple sources and manage moderately complex projects.

• Transmit data and proactively ensure its quality.

• Troubleshoot data-related issues and devise mitigation strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience is required.

• Proven analytical skills are necessary.

• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities are essential.

• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required.

• Strong technical aptitude is a must.

• Intermediate experience with SQL or similar technologies is required.

• Intermediate knowledge of dimensional modeling is necessary.

• Intermediate experience with pipeline orchestration is essential.

• Experience in building data pipelines for data transformation is required.

• Familiarity with BI visualizations is necessary.

• Effective interpersonal skills are crucial.

• Ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders is needed.

• Valid, local legal authorization to work in the country where the role is based at the time of hire is required.

• No parallel employment, professional activities, or paid work for other entities during employment is permitted.

• Ownership, partnership, directorship, or participation in other businesses must be disclosed and formally reviewed.
