FBS Data Engineer, SQL, Power BI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design and develop moderately intricate value-driven analytics solutions for quality, business processes, and strategic/data/analytic projects.

• Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to determine and set analytics requirements.

• Produce comprehensive documentation and business plans that address the needs of stakeholders.

• Serve as a liaison between IT and Product Management regarding data solutions.

• Create and execute enterprise-wide data integration strategies utilizing data marts and data warehouse applications.

• Enhance data platforms, dashboards, and reports to adapt to evolving business requirements and standards.

• Provide consultation with limited oversight from the Principal on user acceptance testing (UAT), technical specifications, strategic planning, contract design, technical support, testing updates, and training.

• Implement data standards while balancing regulatory compliance and business necessities.

• Oversee data from various sources and successfully complete moderately complex projects with minimal guidance.

• Transmit data, ensure data integrity, troubleshoot data issues, and address problems effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance.

• Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams.

• Proficiency in translating business requirements into clear, actionable criteria for financial loss reporting and analytics solutions.

• Capability to analyze business data narratives and document functional requirements.

• Experience in supporting data product certification.

• Familiarity with validating business rules.

• Ability to ensure that solutions fulfill reporting, data quality, and downstream consumption requirements.

• Skills in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.

• Competency in facilitating discussions with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders.

• Skill in translating business data narratives into functional specifications.

• Experience with source-to-target mapping and business rule validation.

• Background in assisting with UAT planning and execution.

• Ability to track issues, decisions, and approvals effectively.

• Capability to collaborate with data engineering teams.

• Intermediate understanding of data elements, structures, and standards in financial services transactions, reporting, and cloud-based data storage/sharing.

• Strong project management skills.

• Ability to troubleshoot data issues and develop effective mitigation strategies.
