πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Serve as a technical leader in the field of system protection engineering.

β€’ Oversee the complete range of protective relay settings and coordination studies.

β€’ Organize, plan, and facilitate intricate phases of designated project assignments.

β€’ Conduct short-circuit and symmetrical component analyses.

β€’ Execute time-current and step-distance coordination.

β€’ Formulate and manage relay settings.

β€’ Create testing plans and support commissioning activities.

β€’ Investigate and resolve protection system incidents.

β€’ Prepare NERC PRC compliance documentation.

β€’ Design protection schemes for transmission, distribution, generation, and renewable energy sources.

β€’ Offer technical mentorship to fellow engineers.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.

β€’ Graduation from an ABET accredited program or an equivalent is essential.

β€’ PE License is required or the capability to secure a PE License within one year of the start date.

β€’ At least 7-9 years of pertinent experience is necessary.

β€’ Demonstrated experience with system modeling and fault analysis software such as ASPEN, CAPE, ETAP, or EasyPower.

β€’ Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

β€’ In-depth understanding of system modeling, relay coordination studies, and protective relay settings for systems ranging from 12.47 kV to 345 kV.

β€’ Experience in applying protection system engineering practices across transmission lines, buses, transformers, capacitor banks, reactor banks, feeders, generators, motors, or communication-assisted protection schemes.

β€’ Knowledge of NERC PRC standards for compliance is preferred.

β€’ Willingness to travel 10-20% of the year.

β€’ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

β€’ Must possess permanent authorization to work in the US.

β€’ A valid driver's license is required, or the ability to obtain one before the starting date.
