This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.
• Create solutions for technical challenges utilizing scientific principles, theories, practices, and current technologies.
• Develop technical work plans, reports, foundational data, and scientific documentation.
• Analyze, interpret, and document data while performing assessments.
• Evaluate findings against pertinent studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure adherence.
• Design, implement, assess, and report on environmental metrics in natural ecosystems.
• Gather samples of soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water, and sediment.
• Prepare samples for shipment and complete chain-of-custody or equivalent documentation.
• Utilize knowledge of chemistry, physics, biology, hydrology, and mathematics to clarify observations.
• Investigate contaminants and devise methods for environmental restoration.
• Review analytical data for quality indicators in routine assessments.
• Collaborate with task and project managers, on-site subcontractors, and field personnel.
• Assist in sampling, data acquisition, and field documentation.
• Provide technical expertise support.
• Contribute to the Environmental business line, primarily focusing on Federal projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil, chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering, or a related field.
• 6 years of applicable experience or proven equivalent experience.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Must clear a motor vehicle records check.
• Must pass a background verification.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
• Professional registration or progress towards it is preferred.
• Willingness to travel for fieldwork and/or meetings.
• Significant travel within the United States may be necessary.
• Proficient in standard office suite software applications.
• OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
• Skills in database, GIS, CAD, and visualization software are advantageous.
