Lead Strategic Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Address intricate, open-ended, cross-functional business inquiries and bring clarity to ambiguity.

• Evaluate business models, revenue streams, growth catalysts, and sustainability factors.

• Relate individual business performance to the overall consolidated outcome.

• Develop financial models and analyses from scratch.

• Locate, access, and validate data, utilizing SQL and BI tools.

• Enhance in-year and long-term forecasting methods and precision.

• Manage monthly and quarterly finance processes, reviews, and reporting duties.

• Recognize risks and opportunities, offering recommendations to senior finance and business leaders.

• Report directly to the Director of Strategic Finance & Insights and collaborate with the VP of Finance and CFO.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to structure ambiguous or unassigned issues.

• Proficient financial modeling skills, including driver-based models and comprehensive three-statement analysis.

• Hands-on experience with data using SQL or a similar querying tool, along with a BI platform.

• Strong business inquisitiveness and skill in investigating financial drivers.

• Capability to challenge assumptions and figures while cultivating trusted business relationships.

• Effective communication skills suitable for both finance and non-finance audiences.

• Experience in a multifaceted business environment with various revenue streams or business models.

• Willingness to work during EST/EDT hours.

• Must be eligible to work in Canada; visa sponsorship may be necessary based on eligibility.
