This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Identify optimal methods for the secure and efficient storage of customer products.
• Estimate the necessary square footage and ceiling height requirements for warehouse real estate searches.
• Execute industrial engineering tasks, including process mapping, value stream mapping, process design, space planning, CAD layout design, index and scope-creep measurement, as well as inventory and slotting evaluations.
• Develop workflows and processes for receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Establish labor standards and ensure alignment between IT WMS and warehouse workflows and processes.
• Choose suitable material handling equipment.
• Price solutions in pro formas utilizing the Kenco pricing model.
• Collaborate with Real Estate, IT, and HR to acquire pricing information.
• Apply labor rates to process hours along with management, coordinator, and clerk support costs.
• Gather costs for storage equipment, forklifts, IT hardware, building enhancements, and related items.
• Modify pricing according to customer templates and collect client profile data from Sales.
• Assist the Sales team with process descriptions, innovative solutions, and ongoing revisions.
• Present pricing proposals to both internal and external clients.
• Visit customer locations to collect pertinent information.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of current processes.
• Conduct ROI analyses.
• Report billable hours to the appropriate accounts.
• Engage in operational audits.
• Design comprehensive solutions that include e-commerce and semi-automated options.
• Manage cost-plus, FVR, and unit-rate pricing strategies, covering multi-site and scenario pricing.
• Train colleagues on modeling, pricing, various scenarios, MHE, and WMS functionalities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from an accredited four-year institution.
• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in CAD, PowerBi, SketchUp, Copilot/Claude.
• Advanced skills in Excel.
• Understanding of cost structures, including Cost +, FVR (Fixed-Variable-Reimbursable), and Unit Rates.
• Familiarity with operations, including shift patterns, seasonality, and the direct versus indirect ratio of staffing and training.
• Knowledge of fundamental financial concepts and company thresholds.
• Experience with Korber, Blue Yonder, or Veracore WMS.
• Familiarity with all types of material handling equipment.
• Capability to perform ROI analysis.
• Ability to participate in operational audits.
• Capacity to report billable hours to appropriate accounts promptly.
• Willingness to visit customer sites and gather information with professionalism and confidentiality.
