This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and qualify new leads and potential opportunities.
• Cultivate relationships with both existing and prospective client accounts.
• Consult with customers, offering technical expertise and tailored recommendations.
• Present overviews of the GridOS DERMS product line and conduct product demonstrations.
• Comprehend and document the technical, procedural, policy, and regulatory challenges faced by customers.
• Pinpoint suitable use cases and propose GridOS DERMS solution offerings.
• Convey customer requirements, trends, and issues to the Product Management team.
• Define and evaluate value-added technology-enabled services utilizing the GridOS DERMS Platform.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to fulfill customer needs and ensure timely proposal delivery.
• Provide technical insights for RFPs, RFQs, and government programs.
• Identify proposal-related Product Development scope that lies outside the current roadmap.
• Contribute technical information to marketing campaigns aimed at customers.
• Monitor competitive products and identify relevant use cases.
• Participate in trade shows, conferences, and various marketing events.
• Create and maintain customer-ready presentations at various technical levels.
• Share customer-derived technical insights within the organization.
• Offer feedback to Account Managers, Product Management, and Research and Development teams regarding customer feedback, product issues, and quality defects.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with partners, Account Managers in the US and Canada, Commercial Operations, Marketing and Communications, and Product Management teams.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a related field with a specialization in Power Systems.
• At least 5+ years of experience in the utility industry, combining technical sales and technical writing expertise in the energy market.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% based on business requirements.
• Knowledge of emerging energy industry trends, regulations, and their implications for utility customers in areas like DER management, microgrids, distribution planning, SCADA, and asset management.
• Understanding of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) and interconnection and interoperability standards, such as IEEE 1547.
• Familiarity with utility communication protocols, including IEEE 2030.5 (SEP2), OpenADR, and related technologies for utility-to-DER integration is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of DER aggregation, virtual power plants (VPPs), demand response programs, inverter-based resources, and DER integration use cases is considered a strong asset.
• Client management abilities to effectively communicate the strategic and technical value of the GridOS DERMS platform.
• Capacity to complete tasks on time and adhere to project deadlines.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in conveying information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, providing high-level solution summaries to executive leadership.
• Successful completion of a drug screening may be required.
