šŸ“‹ Description

• Become a part of the Pre-Sales team dedicated to empowering sales and fostering strategic growth for GridOS DERMS customers and partners.

• Deliver comprehensive business and technical solutions to customers and partners utilizing GridOS DERMS.

• Collaborate across various functions with partners, Account Managers in the US and Canada, Commercial Operations, Marketing and Communications, and Product Management.

• Identify and qualify new leads and opportunities while nurturing relationships with existing and potential clients.

• Consult with customers to provide technical insights and recommendations.

• Present overviews of the GridOS DERMS product line and conduct product demonstrations.

• Understand and document the technical, process, policy, and regulatory challenges faced by customers.

• Identify appropriate use cases and solutions offered by GridOS DERMS.

• Clearly articulate customer requirements, trends, issues, user stories, capabilities, and functional/non-functional needs to Product Management.

• Define and evaluate value-added technology-enabled services leveraging the GridOS DERMS Platform.

• Collaborate with Account Managers to meet customer requirements and ensure timely delivery of proposals.

• Provide technical insights for RFPs, RFQs, and government programs.

• Identify proposal-related Product Development needs outside the current roadmap and escalate them to Product Management.

• Contribute technical information to customer-focused marketing campaigns.

• Monitor competitive products, identify use cases, and relay market responses and feedback.

• Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.

• Create and maintain customer-ready presentations across multiple technical levels.

• Share customer-derived technical insights internally.

• Relay customer feedback, product bugs, and quality defect information to Account Managers, Product Management, and Research and Development teams.


ā›³ļø Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a related field, with a concentration on Power Systems.

• At least 5+ years of significant utility industry experience, combining technical sales and technical writing expertise in the energy sector.

• This is a remote role based in the US.

• Up to 25% travel may be required based on business demands.

• Familiarity with emerging trends, regulations, and implications in the energy industry pertaining to DER management, microgrids, distribution planning, SCADA, and asset management.

• Highly desirable knowledge of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), interconnection and interoperability standards such as IEEE 1547, and industry communication protocols including IEEE 2030.5 (SEP2) and OpenADR.

• A strong asset would be familiarity with DER aggregation, virtual power plants (VPPs), demand response programs, inverter-based resources, and DER integration use cases.

• Ability to attract new clients and strengthen existing relationships by articulating the strategic and technical value of the GridOS DERMS platform.

• Capability to meet deadlines effectively.

• A self-motivated collaborator who can work independently as a researcher.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficient in communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences, providing high-level solution summaries to C-suite executives.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screen, if applicable.
