Lead Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Supervise a team of developers while ensuring the quality of work, adherence to timelines, and management of project risks.

• Offer technical guidance throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

• Provide mentorship to engineers and carry out design and code evaluations.

• Work in partnership with Product Owners, Architects, and business stakeholders.

• Direct troubleshooting efforts, perform root-cause analysis, and oversee production support tasks.

• Create scalable, event-driven solutions utilizing AWS services and contemporary architectural patterns.

• Design and maintain APIs based on Python, including integrations, automation, and platform functionalities.

• Assess requirements, formulate technical designs, and implement solutions using Agile methodologies.

• Develop and uphold CI/CD pipelines along with Infrastructure-as-Code solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Computer Science or an equivalent experience is required.

• At least 8 years of experience in software development is required.

• Proficiency in advanced Python development is required.

• Solid understanding of APIs and integrations, testing and automation, as well as object-oriented design and software engineering best practices is required.

• Experience with AWS, specifically in Data Ops ECS, Lambda, EventBridge, API, and Kinesis is required.

• Familiarity with Data & Orchestration tools like AWS Airflow or Astronomer, along with DAG Development, DBT, and Snowflake is required.

• A Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) is preferred.

• Experience in Institutional Investments, Asset Management, or Financial Services is preferred.

• Familiarity with event-driven and microservices architectures is preferred.

• Experience in supporting enterprise data platforms and data operations is preferred.

• Knowledge of streaming technologies and real-time data processing is preferred.
