Lead Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +33 more states.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the Testimonials platform, overseeing architecture, code quality, infrastructure, and production reliability.

• Manage and improve Kubernetes-based deployments, focusing on observability, scalability, and release processes.

• Make and document significant architectural decisions.

• Maintain both operational and technical documentation.

• Support the growth of the platform to meet increasing customer demand.

• Lead the daily execution of the product roadmap.

• Collaborate with the Product team on roadmap planning and technical trade-offs.

• Establish engineering standards through comprehensive code and design reviews.

• Mentor engineers and coordinate contractor resources as required.

• Oversee engineering initiatives to support SOC 2 readiness.

• Implement secure development practices, change control, and access management protocols.

• Partner with Security and Compliance teams to enhance platform controls.

• Deliver enterprise features, dashboards, and enhancements requested by customers.

• Assist with platform integrations and modernization initiatives.

• Promote the adoption of AI-assisted development tools and automated engineering workflows.

• A minimum of 6 years of software engineering experience.

• Experience managing a production SaaS platform.

• Strong hands-on experience with Go (preferred), C#, or Java; React, Kubernetes, REST APIs, and AWS architecture.

• Experience with REST API integration.

• Proven capability to support, troubleshoot, and scale production systems.

• Experience leading a small engineering team or technical workstream.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Interest in AI-assisted software development practices.

• MySQL knowledge is a plus.

• Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, OAuth, or similar security, compliance, and authentication standards is a plus.

• Experience in building software for regulated industries is a plus.

• Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and observability tools is a plus.

• Experience supporting enterprise customers and delivering customized solutions is a plus.

• Familiarity with AI-enabled SDLC improvements is a plus.

• Must pass a criminal background check before the first day of employment.
