Lead Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Offer technical direction to a small team of 2–3 engineers through design evaluations, collaborative coding, and constructive feedback.

• Create and develop backend services utilizing Golang.

• Construct and enhance complex SQL queries for high-performance applications.

• Manage large datasets and data-heavy workflows.

• Direct backend technical strategies for CRM Ops / XLerate.

• Remove obstacles for the team and elevate quality standards.

• Work in partnership with Product teams, designers, developers, product managers, and testers.

• Convert ideas into actionable experiences for fitness entrepreneurs.

• Implement Agile, Lean, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Develop and improve XLerate, ABC Fitness’s next-generation CRM solution.

• Assist CRM operations and segmentation for the ABC Glofox platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

• Over 5 years of experience with a general-purpose programming language.

• At least 2 years of experience in Golang.

• Demonstrated experience in owning complex backend features or services.

• Previous lead or senior ownership experience is preferred, including managing a small engineering team.

• Strong grasp of agile development practices within an Agile/Lean/Continuous Delivery framework.

• Familiarity with contemporary Quality and Testing principles.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to lead a small team of 2–3 engineers and collaborate with Product teams.

• Willingness to learn new technologies and systems.

• Extensive experience with MySQL performance tuning at scale is preferred.

• Experience with event-driven architectures or high-throughput APIs is preferred.

• Previous experience in CRM, marketing automation, or segmentation domains is preferred.

• Familiarity with cross-squad collaboration is preferred.
