Lead Reimbursement Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Execute all billing and collection processes for designated fee-for-service and third-party facilities.

• Manage billing and collections related to Medicare, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, counties, commercial insurance, and the members served.

• Keep up-to-date with relevant CPT and other coding modifications.

• Monitor changes in fee-for-service and/or contract billing rates.

• Relay coding and billing-rate modifications to the impacted Telecare stakeholders.

• Occasionally travel to locations where Telecare operates or intends to establish business.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of medical billing experience or two (2) years of college education paired with one (1) year of healthcare experience.

• Comprehensive understanding of Medicare, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.

• High proficiency in PC applications, particularly in Excel and Word.

• Capability to work autonomously, leveraging extensive reimbursement expertise and judgment.

• Proven ability to engage with advanced automated billing systems.

• Required to be fingerprinted and obtain clearance from the Department of Justice and the Office of Inspector General.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Successful completion of a relevant post-offer physical examination.

• Successful completion of a 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis.

• Must possess acceptable criminal background clearances and comply with excluded party sanctions.

• Verification of degree or license, if applicable.

• Must reside in Mountain Time (MT) or Pacific Standard Time (PST).
